jessicafo December 5,2007-For Freedom-The Story of A French Spy by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley
Thirteen year old Suzanne is caught into the middle of World War 2. Nazis invade her home town Cherbourg, France and force her and her family to leave their house and move into a cramped apartment building and on top of that the market closes down, food is rationed, and sometimes, somehow, people simply just disappear. As she goes on with singing and dailey life an organizer for the French Resistance askes for Suzanne's help. She becomes spy number 21 and passes coded messages from spy to spy despite all the danger. This book would be a good choice for people who like to read about the lives of spys' and growing up was like in war times.
